Reading is a major interchange station with multiple routes converging the main routes are:Waterloo to Reading Line for South West Trains stopping services to London Waterloo. These serve the main towns of Wokingham, Bracknell, Ascot, Staines-Upon-Thames, West London Suburbs, the National Rugby Stadium and links to Heathrow Airport (buses). These services operate every 30 minutes.
Main services provided on the GWML for a mixture of local, mid-distance and long distance intercity by First Great Western and Cross-Country. These Services serve main towns and cities to Bristol, South Wales, Cheltenham, Worcester (Via Oxford). Cross-Country to Scotland, Northern England and Midlands (via Banbury and Leamington Spa).
Local and semi-fast services via the North Downs Line by First Great Western. These serve the towns along side the North Downs Way including (Guildford, Dorking, Reigate & Redhill) also villages in between. There is 1 Semi-fast and 1 stopping per hour. The stopping service alternates stopping at the smaller stations every 2 hours aproximately.
Other local, mid-distance or long-distance via the Reading to Taunton Line provided by First Great Western. These run to towns up to Taunton via Newbury, Hungerford, Bedwyn and Westbury. These then go on to serve towns and cities in Devon & Cornwall via other lines.
Other local First Great Western services and south coast Cross-Country on the Reading to Basingstoke Line.First Great Western serve local stops to Basingstoke. Cross-Country continue after Basingstoke to serve major towns/cities along the South Western Mainline to Bournemouth.
Also, A new service across London into Essex & Kent by Crossrail Line 1 (future) This will be operating most or all stations to Paddington before entering a tunnel to serve the core of Central London and major interchanges on the tube or other national rail stations before splitting to serve Docklands & Kent or the Great Eastern Mainline to Essex terminus of Shenfield.

Train route:
Goring is a local station on the GWML, which has 2 trains an hour to Oxford and London Paddington. The Oxford trains all call at: Cholsey, Didcot Parkway & Oxford. Other trains call at other villages but recieve uneven service patterns.
The London trains all stop at all stations to Maidenhead via Reading, then various others via Slough, Hayes & Harlington and Ealing Broadway.
