All trains that serve or pass this station are on the Reading to Taunton Line. Newbury is served by local and intercity First Great Western services.

Local:

An all station service runs hourly Monday to Saturday and aproximately every 2 hours Sunday to Reading

A semi-fast service to London Paddington runs hourly.

This runs Hourly the other way to Bedwyn, calling at all stations.

Intercity

Services operate at various times of day to London, some stop at same stops as the Bedwyn to Paddington and some only Reading and London.

In the other directions trains serve most stations to Devon, Cornwall or Somerset, others are more limted stop. Other Intercity services pass through and continue to Devon, Cornwall or Somerset.

All trains that serve or pass this station are on the Reading to Taunton Line. Aldermaston is served by local First Great Western trains running between London Paddington and Bedwyn.

In the London direction all trains will call at: All stations to Newbury, then Thatcham, Theale, Reading and London Paddington (hourly service Monday to Saturday).

Also during the week intercity services also serve the station to Somerset & Devon. Aldo different Level during peak/Early morning/late evening.

On Sunday a 2 hourly services operates.
